As Howell prepares for his next chapter, this going-away celebration was filled with emotion, gratitude—and a lot of laughs, thanks to a cake that perfectly captured his legacy.

🎂 A Cake with Heart… and Humor

Kristina Lavallee, founder of The Cake Girl and proud Honorary Commander at MacDill AFB, shares a close friendship with Chief Howell. To honor him in a way that was both memorable and meaningful, Kristina designed a one-of-a-kind 3D car battery cake—a playful nod to Howell’s reputation for “leading with the most dead batteries” on base!

It was a sweet (and hilarious) way to send off someone who’s made such an impact, not just through rank, but through character, leadership, and connection.
