We always recommend refrigerating your cake to maintain freshness and ensure food safety — especially in Florida’s warm climate. Keep the cake in the fridge until about 1–2 hours before serving, then allow it to come to room temperature for the best flavor and texture. If your cake has perishable fillings or is being held for more than a few hours, refrigeration is especially important.
Cakes and cupcakes from The Cake Girl are made to order and are best enjoyed within 2–3 days of pickup. Keep them in an airtight container or properly wrapped to maintain freshness.
