At MacDill Air Force Base, a heartfelt farewell was held for Colonel Adam Bingham as he prepared to embark on his new assignment at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, with the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). The event, attended by base leadership, community and civic leaders, as well as friends and family, was a poignant reminder of Colonel Bingham's impactful time in Tampa, FL.
To commemorate this special occasion, Kristina Lavallee and The Cake Girl team were honored to create a custom cake that perfectly encapsulated Colonel Bingham's journey. The cake was a masterpiece of artistry and flavor, designed to reflect the iconic elements of his time in Tampa and his next chapter at Scott Air Force Base.
The cake’s design beautifully illustrated Tampa’s stunning beaches, a nod to the city that Colonel Bingham and his family have come to love. The entrance to MacDill Air Force Base was intricately recreated, symbolizing the strength and pride of the military community. The cake also featured the historic brick buildings of Scott Field, honoring the legacy of his new home base. At the center of it all was the USTRANSCOM Globe, representing the global reach and significance of his upcoming role.
Kristina and the team at The Cake Girl poured their hearts into every detail, ensuring that this cake was not only a visual delight but also a fitting tribute to a distinguished military leader. As Colonel Bingham and his guests admired the cake, it was clear that this creation was more than just a dessert—it was a celebration of memories, achievements, and the exciting journey ahead.
At The Cake Girl, we take pride in crafting custom cakes that tell a story, and this one was no exception. We wish Colonel Adam Bingham all the best in his new role and are grateful for the opportunity to have been part of his farewell celebration.
